PlayStation Now, Google Stadia and Nvidia GeForce are now seen as the top-rated game streaming platforms across the world. They are the leaders and the ones who decide the fate of online streaming games. Let’s have a brief observation of who they are, how much they cost you, streaming quality, and what includes in their game library.

PlayStation Now

PlayStation Now announced its launch in 2014, and Sony is the proud owner of it. PlayStation Now has come a long way since then to become one of the best and popular gaming services in the world. These services available to you on monthly subscriptions. By purchasing the services, you become eligible to download and play games offline too.

There are loads of games available in PlayStation Now in different categories. Once you choose your game, they will connect you to a remote server which bound to open in a quick time. The interface of PlayStation is super user-friendly, and one can say that it is the Netflix of game streaming.

  • Game library

PlayStation has one of the largest game libraries in the world, if not the largest. They started with 80 games, But now there is a brilliant collection of more than 800 new and old top-rated games you to download and play online. There are almost all new and popular games available in the PlayStations library, as well as the platform-exclusive ones.

  • Stream Quality and Internet speed

Sony PlayStation Now operates smoothly at 720P. Although they recommend a connection speed of 10mbps, it is ideal to have a rate exceeding 15mbps to experience uninterrupted gameplay. Also, it is advisable to use an Ethernet connection rather than depending on your wifi.

  • Pricing

In late 2019, Sony made a drastic change in the pricing by reducing the monthly subscription from $19.99 to $9.99. Quarterly package dropped to $24.99 from $44.99, and the annual one reduced to $59.99 from $99.99. PlayStation allows you a free trial period for 7days before you activate any of these packages.

Google Stadia

Considering the current situation of the gaming world, Google Stadia seems to be the future of it. This is a cloud-based streaming service owned by Google, in existence only since November 2019. “Stadia” is the store of this service where you can buy games. Google’s entrance was much awaited by the gamers and Google Stadia already living up to the expectations performing magnificently literally with no latency. There is a mobile version already available for Stadia users and can access the services by using tablets too. The arrival of the Giant would mean more competition in the field, and hopefully, more fantastic features are on the horizon.

  • Game Library

Google added 12 games into its library when it started and promises to add 100 more titles before the end of 2020. The game library is getting bigger every day, and obviously, Google has the capacity and budget to add a pack of games right away into its library.

  • Stream Quality and Internet speed

Google Stadia works perfectly with a 10mbps internet connection, but for a 4K HDR quality you must have a connection with 35mbps. So as a gamer, you should be going for a connection that has at least a speed of 50mbps to feel the real texture of Stadia.

  • Pricing

Google launched the service with the founder’s package for $130 (three-month subscription), Premiere edition replaced the former once it got sold out. There are hardly any differences between the two packages, But the Founders subscription came with a 30 day free trial for a friend.

Currently, there is only one package available, The Premiere. You have to purchase Stadia pro once you complete three months, which carries a price tag of $9.99 per month.

Nvidia GeForce Now

Nvidia launched its gaming platform in 2013 as Nvidia Grid and changed its name to Geforce Now. This, too, is a subscription-based game streaming service that enables its users to access unlimited games on Nvidia servers. Nvidia threw this service as Beta, But now, the platform running with its full version.

Unlike most other game streaming services, It is not a necessity to have a gaming pc to play games in Geforce. All you need is at least windows 7 64bit, dual-core CPU 2GHz, 4Gb ram capacity, GPU that support DirectX 11 ( Intel HD graphics 2000). Geforce runs on android phones, which has 2Gb memory and Android version 5.0.

  • Game Library

Geforce Now offers more than 400 games. The majority of them can be played via your steam library. There are many free games available in  it if you wish to use them. But free service will be provided only for one hour and you might have to wait in the queue to access the free stuff.

  • Stream Quality and Internet speed

GeForce Now requires at least 15mbps to stream 720P quality games. For 1080P, you must have a connection with a speed of more than 25mbps. Nvidia servers can handle 1080P quality without any issue, even though it is the maximum resolution quality it offers.

  • Pricing

There are two price structures in GeForce Now; one is a free trial, which I explained, and the other is the Founders package. It costs $ 4.99 for a month for the first year to the subscription. When you purchase the Founders package, you get 90 days of a free trial, which means your one year subscription period is valid for 15 months. But once the 15 months are over, they will charge you $ 9.99 per month.
